There have been a number of recalls for the food processing industry recently. While some recalls were issued because of poor inspection processes that led to bacterial contamination, others were recalled because of poor quality equipment and the resulting contamination. Of course, any recall is going to devastate a manufacturer. Recalling materials after they have been contaminated is incredibly expensive, and it means that a lot of product has to be discarded. Those disposing of the product have to use very
